Review TAG Heuer Aquaracer [WAF1112BA0801]

In recent years my watch "daily" was a Seiko chronograph. Although there is nothing wrong, I decided I wanted something with a little bit more in style. Initially, I bought a Seiko Coutura, but returned with disappointed.

I decided to go a little "more-beyond", but since I am not a watch collector, I think $ 1000 was almost as much as I wanted to spend on a 'WATCH' (or quartz) although USD 500 would probably be more practical (I guess it depends on where you draw the line between utility and luxury).

I looked at Tissot, which was probably the best choice for its price, even Movado, Bulova, and a few others, but really liked the style of the Tag Heuer Aquaracer[WAF1112BA0801] .I chose this model because it is simple but elegant. A stopwatch was too good, but everyone I looked at were too big for my taste. Although this model is of medium size, not too big and heavy.

Direct trust that Amazon sells authentic watches not renewed, while offering a good warranty (not sure of third-party vendors), but I decided to buy from a local dealer. They gave me a discount, so I ended up paying about $ 100 more, and I have the manufacturer's warranty. (Had they not give me the discount I have no problem buying direct from Amazon)

I give this watch a 5-star general, but for those who are interested in purchasing this watch, I noted a number of things. If you are farsighted and often even in dimly lit areas, the watch can be a bit "difficult to see. The dial and date are a bit small hands" and can blend into the background. I knew before I bought it, but only for those who cite consider buying online. The same version of this watch with black face and blue are much easier to read, but I really liked the look of the face of money (there is also a silver finish WAF1111 which is different).
I just think if he put a black border around the tag hands, would have been a little better design, but it might seem in poor taste, who knows. That said, you should have no problem reading in the office, outside, or plus or minus 90% of the time, and you're like me and I do not want a huge watch, the compromise may need a little face smaller.

The other problem is the value of brand recognition tag compared to other "luxury" brands. I looked closely Tissot and Bulova and others, and generally the quality seems to be at par. Well, I'm not a watchmaker, and I have not looked into it. However, quartz movements are quite consistent (against some of the more expensive mechanical watches), then frankly, I think it's pretty obvious that there is a steep premium to pay for the recognition of mark if you buy a Tag Heuer, but obviously it's subjective.

However, without doubt this is a quality watch and it looks great. Since I've owned for a few days, I can not comment on its longevity because it resists scratches and cuts, or its accuracy, but I am satisfied with my purchase and I recommend this watch to others .
